Information: FY-2 is China’s geostationary meteorological satellite. The third satellite (FY-2C) of this series was successfully launched on October 19, 2004 and was located at 105°E over the equator. The major payload of the satellite is the Visible and Infrared Spin Scan Radiometer (VISSR).
